Article Bulk PDF Export

Description

The Article Bulk PDF Export App allows authorised agents to search for knowledgebase articles and export multiple articles as PDFs in one action.

Agents can:

  • search using article ID, agent ID, category, status, and date-period filters

  • combine multiple filters

  • review matching articles before export

  • generate one PDF for each selected article

  • download the generated PDFs together in a ZIP archive

The app preserves supported article content, including:

  • headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables

  • inline images and supported attachment images

  • callouts and content blocks

  • multi-page content and printable styling

Articles are processed sequentially to reduce browser resource usage. If an image cannot be accessed, the app removes that image and continues where possible.

The app can be used to archive, migrate, audit, share, or back up Deskpro knowledgebase content.

How to Install

  1. Go to Admin > Apps & Integrations > Apps > Available.

  2. Select Upload and upload the app’s ZIP file.

  3. Find the app in the list of available apps.

  4. Follow the instructions under the app’s Setup section to configure and install it.

    Security Considerations
    • Only grant permission in the APP to specific agents who you want to authorise to bulk export articles.

    • The app uses the permissions of the agent under whose context the API key was generated. It does not use the individual Deskpro permissions of the agent currently using the app.

    • Exported PDFs and ZIP archives may contain confidential or internal knowledgebase content. Once downloaded, these files are outside Deskpro’s access controls.

    • Review selected articles before exporting and confirm that the resulting archive is shared only with authorised recipients.

    • Article content is converted to PDF in the agent’s browser. Very large or unusually formatted content may consume significant browser resources.

    • The app does not provide a dedicated audit log of article exports. Where export auditing is required, access should be limited and supported by appropriate organisational monitoring or record-keeping.
